Gorgeous place! Wakefield has always needed a Belgian beer bar. Gorgeous designs and extremely comfy chairs! Lovely experience will definitely visit again🥰
This place has just opened and already has fantastic potential. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. The drinks were great, and we were even offered a few tasters, which was a really nice touch and showed how confident they are in what they’re serving. A special mention has to go to the bar staff—especially Millie. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, and honestly, her sense of humour and funny conversation alone would be enough to make me want to come back every day of the week. She made the whole experience feel personal and memorable, not just another trip to the bar. If this is how they’re starting out, The Continental Tap House is definitely going to become a local favourite. Can’t wait to return 🍻
Fabulous place, friendly staff, lots of unusual beers to try, decor lovely, definitely will be going again very soon
Great beer, chilled atmosphere, lovely staff and tasty pizzas! In such a stunning courtyard.. We will be back here more often.
Really wanted to like this new bar . The tile yard would be worth going to if there was about 5 bars to spend an evening in all year not just when there's an event on . Wouldn't it be great to have a real tapas bar( light snacks ) Or maybe a street food zone ( under cover ) with seating that all the bars shared & supported ( like you see in courtyards in Spain/italy . So the website s got a dummy email telephone ( do you actually want business ) . Good points lovely and clean decorated well it was nice & warm . Bar staff friendly nice to have different beers on . But why put sports TVs in 😱 surly that's not the look you're going for or are you a sports bar ? I know it's not been open long but it lacked atmosphere another gimmicky bar soleless . Make it cosier dim the lighting play music that's bar appropriate for the look you seemed to want . I don't want to listen to punk/heavy metal or blooming elvis tribute bands . Hey how about an idea small bowl olives/ chips with drink s like you actually get in continental bars 🤣. Not sure if it's the same owners as the distillery or not but to attract more customers ( definitely cosier in distillery but need a lesson in pulling beers ) it needs to up its game or die like Wakefields town centre is . We will Give it a go again but I had high hopes & was disappointed
