Unbelievably friendly and helpful staff… barmaid was so cheery and went above and beyond to make us welcome . Food was AMAZING, home cooked mac n cheese was to die for. Chilli was home cooked too. Smash burgers were freshly cooked to perfection. The winner winner were the pigs in blankets hand delivered by the chef himself !! (Not even on the menu but I had mistaking looked at an old menu on line) … the barmaid must have told the chef and BOOM ! There they were ? Could tell that the chef was passionate about his quality of food. Had a nice chat ! Huge portions. Took some home for later . Certainly value for money BIG time . Thank you both so much for making us feel so welcome. I hope your manager sees this and awards you for your commitment !

We just came in for some dinner and it was the best meal we’ve had out for a long time. The staff (Brit and I’m so sorry I’ve forgotten the gents name already, got baby brain, would like to say Richard? 😬🤣) were brilliant and so friendly, if we’re ever back in the area will 100% come back here again. Reasonably priced, great food & portions and nice atmosphere. Thank you guys 😊x

This was a lovely pub for drinking, covered in green lighting throughout the interior! A very bright is setting is maintained from the light bulbs and large windows, counter is nicely styled too. I had a pint of Red Stripe, sitting comfortably in the outside area in the sun!

Famed for their burgers, it was great to see they had a plant-powered menu with a large selection of options! Myself obviously going for the “Hey Hot Stuff” which was a @movingmountainsfoods patty, vegan cheese, jalapeños, roquito chillies, onion rings, spicy vegan mayo and the usual burger toppings. There’s a good selection of sides too, but what won it for me was the Vegan Duck Loaded Fries! Quacking with flavour, the ‘duck’ was succulent and tender! Smothered with juicy hoisin sauce and topped hoisin mayo, toasted sesame seeds, spring onions and red chillies. I would happily return here just to gutbash on the fries alone! And there’s few venues up and down the country, including London, Leeds and Manchester. Real messy but so worth it!

Nice bar located in the centre of town at the top of Westgate. Came for a quick drink. Smart enough place with good service. Great choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Gets very busy at peak times. I didn't stay for the live music, sports on t.v. or food.
