This café is undoubtedly one of the finest we have visited. The scones are freshly baked and accompanied by fresh cream, setting a high standard from the outset. I opted for a classic bacon sandwich, which was excellent — the bread was thickly cut and the bacon generously portioned. Several of the dishes emerging from the kitchen would not have been out of place in a good restaurant, a testament to the quality and presentation. The staff are attentive and convey an atmosphere of genuine warmth and efficiency, clearly running a very well-managed establishment. The premises are immaculate, the pricing is exceptionally reasonable, and the popularity of the café was evident from how busy it was during our visit.

Lovely spot, probably our favourite cafe in Wakefield. Tasty food, lovely coffee and such a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Lots of seating indoors, but best of all is sitting outside under the trees on a sunny afternoon

Lovely independent cafe Just stopped for an excellent cup of coffee and cinnamon swirl. Good fast service, the staff offered to carry my tray to the table for me, which was appreciated though not needed. Generally friendly vibe throughout the cafe. Coffee tasted to me much better than any of the major chains.

What a lovely independent coffee shop. Lovely friendly staff, who were so cheerful and warm. Coffee was excellent. Cheese and Ham Toastie was superb, generous with the ingredients. Cakes looked amazing. The place was really busy, while the chain coffee shop next door was empty! Spotless toilets! Outside seating too. Right next to the Cathedral.

I have recently moved to Wakefield & ventured into the town centre and came across this little gem! Ordered a hot chocolate and cappuccino with two little cinnamon roll bites - absolutely delightful! The staff couldn’t have been nicer & whilst you pay at the till they were more than happy to bring the drinks over. We sat outside & I absolutely love the fact there are blankets on the chairs for customers to use. Well worth a visit & I will definitely be back for a more substantial meal!
