Hi, after reading the messages about this Polish restaurant, I decided to give it a try. It was actually my first time in 20 years of living here that I said, “Let’s see what it’s like.” Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed. The interior is nice and cosy, but the food really lacked flavour. I ordered goulash soup it was very watery. The meat inside was tender and nice, so not everything was bad, but the soup had no seasoning at all no pepper, no spices just bland. The chicken soup (rosół) was also disappointing. It was too weak, with no richness or flavour. They really need to learn how to make it properly. The placki po węgiersku looked nice, and the meat was okay, but again, the taste let it down. The pancakes themselves weren’t great either. Finally, I ordered zrazy (beef rolls), expecting traditional Polish-style rolls with pickles and onions, but what I got was a minced meat roll with cabbage. Maybe it’s just my misunderstanding, but it wasn’t what I expected and the taste still wasn’t good. Pierogi with meat was ok We spent £77, and honestly, I don’t think I’ll come back. The atmosphere was fine, but the food needs serious improvement. Thank you.
Really nice authentic Polish food. The place is small but the atmosphere is great. The food is itself was well presented and looked and tasted amazing. I had the devolay with mushrooms and cheese and my Polish wife had the Placek po wegiersku. Very good value for money and we both walked out in a food coma.
Decided to bring my English boyfriend and his parents to this place without having been before, and I can say the gamble definitely paid off :) The wild mushroom soup and tomato soup were both delicious, and for mains we had two devolays, meat dumplings, and golonka (for meee) all four dishes were really good. Everyone loved their food, and the service was great too. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic food with each dish packed with flavour! You can tell they care about the quality of food they provide and it all felt extremely homely. Would definitely recommend and a special shout out for the Zapiekanka and the dumplings 😍🔥
Popped in with my other halfs parents who have never tried Polish food before, they absolutely loved it all and would keep talking about how lovely it was! Beautiful little gem! food was gorgeous, service was very welcoming, speaking both languages which made everything so much easier, and very quick too! Definitely recommend and definitely will be back!
