Had a wonderful dining experience at Dosa Village in Wakefield and it truly lived up to its name. The Mysore Masala Dosa was outstanding — perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft interior, generously filled with a deliciously spiced potato masala, and layered with that signature Mysore chutney which gave it a beautiful depth of flavour. It was served hot and tasted incredibly authentic. The chicken kothu paratha was another highlight of the meal. Packed with flavour, well-spiced, and cooked to perfection, it had the right balance of tenderness and texture, making every bite satisfying without being greasy. To finish, we had the falooda, which was the perfect ending to the meal — refreshing, rich, and indulgent, with a great mix of flavours and textures. Not too sweet and very well put together. Portion sizes were generous, food quality was excellent, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. The service was warm and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. If you’re in Wakefield and looking for authentic South Indian food, Dosa Village is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

been craving dosa,s since our trips to jaipur Mumbai Delhi agra goa kerala and sri Lanka earlier unfortunately nowhere in barnsley caters for this I looked on Google for the nearest place and this gem came up in wakefield honestly say the food has been outstanding and really generous portions too only 2 of us but ordered enough for 4 easily and the bill was really good. Needless to say we are taking home more than we managed to eat ( that's my weekend meals sorted) staff were friendly and attentive definitely coming again thanks for a great meal . ps just having leftovers for breakfast paratha with chilli paneer channa masala and poached eggs
I’m a Tamil person living in the UK and I can easily say that the food in Dosa Village is the best Tamil food I’ve had here. I tried the mutton kothu parotta and chicken chukka which were amazing and authentic. They did not compromise on the quality, taste, spice and portion for the cost, making it amazing value. I would definitely recommend this restaurant without hesitation 👍🏻
A taste of home, right here in Yorkshire. If you love Sri Lankan and South Indian cuisine, Dosavillage Wakefield is an absolute must visit. As someone from Sri Lanka, stepping into this spot felt like stepping back into the heart of Colombo’s street food scene. From the mutton kottu to the flavour packed mixed fried rice, every bite was a nostalgic delight. I indulged in a feast, masala dosa, paneer dosa, vadai, faluda, and the soul warming masala tea. The mixed fried rice and masala tea? Unforgettable. Easily the best I’ve had in Yorkshire so far. Highly recommend for anyone craving bold spices, authentic flavours, and a culinary trip to the island. SriLankanFood #SouthIndianFlavours #DosavillageWakefield #TasteOfHome #YorkshireEats”
