I recently visited this restaurant and had a genuinely enjoyable experience that reminded me of authentic South Indian flavours. From the moment I walked in, the ambience felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, making it a pleasant place to sit down and enjoy a good meal. The service throughout the visit was both attentive and polite, with the staff ensuring that everything arrived as expected and that we were comfortable. We tried a variety of dishes, each offering something unique. The Vada Sambar stood out for its traditional taste—the vadas were crisp on the outside while soft and warm inside, and the sambar had a well-balanced flavour profile. The Masala Papad was a simple yet satisfying starter, fresh, crunchy, and topped with nicely seasoned vegetables. The Kotthu Paratha was a highlight, prepared well with great texture and rich flavour. The Onion Uttapam was soft, fragrant, and delicious, capturing the essence of authentic South Indian cooking. Overall, this restaurant delivers a very good combination of quality food, pleasing ambience, and reliable service. It’s a great place for anyone looking to enjoy comforting South Indian dishes prepared with care and authenticity. I would definitely recommend visiting and trying the menu for yourself.

A very nice & clean place in the heart of Wakefield. We ordered the dahi vada; so much like the ones they serve in India. A variety of dosa’s; full of flavour & for me the right level of spice. Will go again!

Visited Taste of Dosa in Wakefield and had a fantastic experience. The Taste of Dosa special veg dosa was absolutely amazing — perfectly crisp, generously filled, and full of authentic South Indian flavours. Easily one of the best dosas I’ve had outside India. The mango lassi was thick, fresh, and perfectly balanced — not overly sweet and very refreshing. The chicken kothu parotha was another highlight: well-spiced, flavourful, and cooked just right, with great texture and aroma. Portion sizes were generous, food quality was excellent, and everything tasted freshly made. If you’re in Wakefield and craving authentic South Indian food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended for the ambience, food and hospitality!

Food & service here was incredible! Went with a Sri Lankan friend who said the food was like her mum’s home cooking. Can’t recommend this place enough, it’s quite different to all of the other restaurants in Wakefield!
