I had the same experience as other customers although I was unable to call, download the app due to my phone being broken at the time. Since when has it become our responsibility to bring the facilities to pay for parking. It is surely the companies responsibility to ensure their machines are working. My aunt and I had booked for the theater and she is unable to walk long distances so we specifically chose that car park. I am now going to court as I have refused to pay and I believe this is an absolute scam. Someone needs to stand up to these people its so wrong what they are doing. They need investigating

Terrible company that run this car park. When I went to pay none of the machines were working, so tried to pay through the app. When I scanned the QR code it wouldn’t bring up the car park code. So I tried calling the company they put me through to someone else, which was on hold. Eventually it just cut off. I ended up going to work and paying through the website. Even though I paid for the day, I still received a parking fine. They said I had exceeded the time limit. I tried to challenge the decision telling them that I couldn’t pay for the parking because nothing worked! They would not except it. I even sent them the receipt for what I had paid them. I think the council should remove them. I won’t park there again if I can help it!

Struggled to load app then made payment for 2 cars, later discovered payment hadn't gone through. Observed several other customers also struggling to pay for car parking Rang next day to try again to pay for 2 cars . Payment not accepted. Fine issued . Appeal unsuccessful, stating we should have had a valid ticket. The ticket machine does not function ÂŁ120 fine for a family trip to Wakefield Theatre Royal. A lucrative day for the car park company, wonder how many other drivers were fined that day after trying to use a system that is not fit for purpose . 19.10.24

I can only reiterate what everyone else has said about this car park, it is an absolute disgrace how it is run. I attended the theatre last month, paid for more than sufficient parking after I had eventually managed to get the app to work only to receive a £100 fine for not buying within the allocated time. How you are supposed to do this when the app doesn’t work properly I don’t know! I have appealed and although I have provided all the necessary information they will not overturn the decision. This car park needs to be boycotted - DO NOT PARK HERE.

DO NOT PARK HERE. There is a crowd of angry people in the car park all struggling to pay online. It’s just taken me nearly 20 minutes to successfully pay by app. Including an abortive attempt via the website which just hung up on me, and the time it took for my verification to come through. First attempt to pay having installed the app failed with no warning or explanation. Truly one of the worst car park app payments experiences I have ever had. I will not be parking here again. The stress has ruined my evening. Update: And a £100 parking charge has come through. It’s like they have a terrible website and app on purpose so you can’t pay in the (unstated) allowed time so they can fine you. I imagine most of the crowd in the car park struggling to pay all got the same. This is bad news for the theatre and the pubs and restaurants that surround this car park. It’s a scam. They are crooks. Do not park here.
