Please be careful if you park here and use the QR code - my bank account and Apple Pay was hacked via this and over £200 attempted to be spent. I have informed the parking company but I would avoid using the QR code.
I had a terrible experience with this car park and feel completely scammed. I parked here, bought a valid ticket, and displayed it clearly on my dashboard. Despite this, I received a letter weeks later demanding payment for a fine, claiming I hadn’t paid. It’s absolutely disgraceful. It seems this car park is preying on honest people who follow the rules, hoping they’ll pay the fine without questioning it. When I tried to contact them to appeal, they were unhelpful and dismissive, and I was left feeling like they’d rather ignore the issue than resolve it fairly. This is either a shocking lack of organisation or a deliberate scam, and either way, it’s unacceptable. Avoid this car park if you value your time, money, and sanity. I’ll certainly never park here again and will be warning others to steer clear too.
DO NOT USE THIS CARPARK! Having read the last review, I’m pretty sure the carpark is scamming people as the exact same thing has happened to me. Parked. Bought a valid ticket, which I paid cash for and now I’ve received a fine which they won’t overturn even though I’ve appealed. I can’t produce the ticket as it’s long in the bin. So now it’s either pay £60 or appeal again, which I’ll lose as I don’t have the original ticket anymore. What a scam!
Disabled parking bays are not marked clearly. Got fine and they didn’t even read appeal properly. Signage not clear. I will never use this company. Con
WARNING: AVOID THIS CAR PARK!! IF YOU ARE LATE RETURNING YOU WILL BE FINED £100 AUTOMATICALLY, WITHOUT FAIL. My wife works in education in Wakefield and after delivering two community workshops was late (15 minutes on one occasion, / 25 mins on the other) back to the car. We received two letters demanding an insanely disproportionate £200(!!) in fines (reduced to £60 apiece/£120 total if paid in 14 days, gee, thanks) by automatic number plate recognition cameras. What if you are held up beyond your control? Life happens. Note that the company - I Park Services Ltd - who have been contracted to enforce this car park do not charge a fee to the owner, so it is not in their interests to be in any way merciful/understanding, it is in their interests to fine absolutely everyone they can, to maximise profits. Either make 100% sure you are well out of the car park BEFORE your time is up - or do as we will - DON'T PARK HERE.
