I had a fantastic experience getting my travel vaccines thanks to Bethany, who was incredibly friendly, professional, and reassuring throughout the whole appointment. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed. I really appreciated how informative and approachable she was — it made a big difference. Bethany is clearly excellent at what she does, and I felt totally confident in her care. Highly recommend this clinic and the staff, and especially Bethany if you're looking for a smooth, stress-free experience.

I am writing this review to advise others to research very carefully before considering Regent Street Clinic for vaccines. In particular, you should understand what an off-label vaccine is, as this was not explained to me at the time. I attended for a rabies vaccination. I asked about intradermal (ID) vs intramuscular (IM). The nurse told me both were effective, both approved by WHO, and both cost the same. She then tried to persuade me towards IM but couldn’t explain why, and only after I chose did she reveal IM was £35 more per dose. The appointment lasted less than five minutes. I was given no proper consultation: no risks, side effects, or dosage explained. The injection was administered while I stood up. Later, I discovered in the consent form that the clinic uses vaccines “off-label,” but this was never explained to me. That means I did not give informed consent. A few days later, they cancelled my next appointment and tried to rebook me two weeks later, despite rabies vaccines being time-sensitive. This prompted me to research further. I found that Regent Street has been sued for posting fake reviews on Tripadvisor. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) also investigated their Nottingham and Bristol branches and found: out-of-date vaccines, fridges overstocked, off-label vaccines given without consent, staff vaccinating without legal authority, poor training, and breaches of the Health and Social Care Act 2008. They scored just 3 out of 100 for safety. Although this applied to other branches, my experience in Wakefield, no information on off-label use, risks, or dosage suggests the same issues apply. When I complained, management confirmed I had received 0.1ml of Rabipur intradermally (expiry 2027) but they decant doses into smaller vials and store them, something the CQC flagged as unsafe. When I asked for a refund, they refused, saying “We have done nothing wrong.” Their policy forces patients to pay upfront for the full course, unlike Boots or Superdrug where you pay per dose. I have since restarted my course at Superdrug with Verorab IM. The difference in care was staggering: everything explained clearly, I paid only per dose, and the nurse informed me Rabipur is extremely difficult to obtain in the UK and should be reserved for urgent cases. Boots and Superdrug confirmed they cannot even order it, raising questions about how Regent Street continues to use it. Regent Street Clinic may look professional, but my experience, with CQC findings, shows unsafe practices, lack of transparency, and refusal to provide refunds. I paid £180 for a course I couldn’t complete and an additional £222 at Superdrug to ensure proper protection. My advice: if you value transparency, informed consent, and safe medical practice, avoid Regent Street Clinic and go to Boots or Superdrug instead. With something as serious as rabies, peace of mind is worth the extra cost.

** UPDATE ** 01/06/2025 *I have yet to receive the prescription. My calls have been ignored, and on four separate occasions, I have been deliberately disconnected. Is this what you call care? Regent Clinic, you should be ashamed of your actions. It feels like you're only focused on profit, and your honesty is in question.* Original post: Today has felt like an exhausting game of being shuffled around. I scheduled a face-to-face consultation with a general practitioner and paid £95 for the service. However, I received a call earlier today asking if I could come in sooner, which I was unable to accommodate. They then informed me that my scheduled appointment would be limited to just 10 minutes. Consequently, I opted for a telephone consultation, believing I would speak with a general practitioner. Unfortunately, the call was with a nurse instead, who was unable to address my concerns. To be frank, the nurse seemed devoid of compassion and appeared eager to conclude the conversation. This experience was no better than what one might expect from the NHS. After reviewing feedback, I anticipated a high-quality, empathetic, and individualized approach. Regrettably, I could not have been more mistaken.

Attended the Wakefield branch yesterday for an allergy jab. I think I was in there 15 minutes maximum after a short but thorough consultation. Excellent service and I will be re attending. I would thoroughly recommend.
