Tesla Supercharger
Power up your electric vehicle at the Tesla Supercharger in Wakefield, offering convenient charging facilities.
About
The Tesla Supercharger in Wakefield provides essential electric vehicle charging facilities located at 17 Calder Cl, Durkar. This charging point is designed to serve electric vehicles, offering convenient power-up options for drivers navigating the Yorkshire region. Situated off a main route, it aims to support EV owners on their journeys. However, some customer feedback notes that while branded as a Tesla Supercharger, the site may be operated by a third-party provider, potentially leading to different pricing structures compared to other Tesla-owned locations.
Drivers can typically use the Tesla app and their vehicle to initiate charging, consistent with the standard Supercharger experience. While it functions seamlessly within the Tesla ecosystem, customer experiences suggest that the per kWh cost here has been higher than typical Tesla Superchargers. Visitors should also be aware that the site can occasionally face challenges with non-electric vehicles occupying charging bays, which has been a point of frustration for some users.
Visiting Information
The Tesla Supercharger in Wakefield operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering round-the-clock access for electric vehicle owners. Payment for charging is typically handled via the Tesla app or other integrated payment methods, as cash is not accepted. No specific accessibility features have been provided for this location.

Chargers were blocked by petrol cars while there were enough parking spaces available around to park but petrol drivers see the EV Car's bays as a bigger bay to park to get in and out easily. I complaint at the shops there but they couldnt do anything. I had to wait 35 minutes before one of the petrol drivers came out of StarBucks and drive off. There is NO CONTROL over parking there. Do not plan your journey through there if you want to have a reliable EV charge. Charging was easy, just by tapping contactless card, but you would be lucky to get one bay if not blocked by Petrol car.
Good location, easy to find. Most chargers blocked by ICE vehicles visiting the shop. Most expensive supercharger I’ve used 69p per kWh as it’s operated by the provider, not Tesla.
Not actually Tesla branded chargers, so much more expensive than normal superchargers. Misleading. 69p/kwh - works with the Tesla app / car in the same way as a normal supercharger
Absolutely empty ample charge points to use, and you can have a snack too
Good chargers, good location, easy to find and good signage for pricing, however, if your tesla is one with free supercharging for life then this charger is not free for you as it is operated by a different company than tesla
