Horbury Road Pharmacy

For the past couple of years I have used the services of Horbury Road pharmacy during which time I have always found it to be the most efficient and professional of any I have ever used. The pharmacy is clean, well stocked, organised, the staff who work ever so hard and long hours are wonderful, always providing a friendly, attentive and supportive service. An example of this was when I recently took up the offer of a free blood pressure check whilst collecting my prescription. My test had a high reading. I was then provided with a blood pressure monitor by the pharmacy and wore it for 12 hours. Again the blood pressure tests were high. This lead to me then seeing a doctor who prescribed medication to try and control my high blood pressure. Other tests were ordered including an ECG and this lead to a possible heart issue being detected, which will be monitored. If it wasn't for the effectiveness of the staff and the pharmacy's extend medical services my condition may well have gone undetected and lead to possible consequences. I am so grateful for their help. This is a very busy pharmacy but I can honestly say that they always deliver my prescriptions within very good time frames. I use the NHS app to order these prescriptions and I get a text to tell me when to pick the medication up, it's so easy. Considering the staff have so much to deal with delivering to the large community on a daily basis they provide a really excellent service.

I honestly can't recommend this pharmacy enough. I used to rely only on online pharmacies because of bad experiences with in-person ones, but this place completely changed my mind. The staff are fantastic, and Nicola has been an absolute star on more than one occasion. Two moments really stood out to me: My partner ran out of medication due to an issue with our online pharmacy. Nicola called our GP right after lunch, chased things up, and made sure they understood how urgent it was. Thanks to her, we got it sorted quickly. About five weeks ago, I spoke to her about a medication I was worried about because of the side effects. When I came in today to pick up a new prescription, she remembered the unusual name of that medication and, without me saying anything, checked that it hadn’t been swapped. If it had, it could have caused problems with what I was prescribed today. That kind of attention to detail and care is rare. This pharmacy has completely earned my trust and I could not recommend it more.

This is the best pharmacy by far in wakefield area moved to Horbury rd from Horbury pharmacy.as they never had the medication always come bk and come back.The service at Horbury rd is first class and text when it's ready usually within the week and the lady pharmacist is extremely helpful

I moved pharmacies due to numerous issues in getting my repeat prescription. This place is brilliant - fast service and really helpful staff.
