After my second baby I felt unsatisfied with my postnatal GP appointment. Minimal questions answered and I left feeling scared to get back to resistance training. So I looked for a pelvic health physio in my area and came across Sarah at the THEA Pelvic Health clinic. Sarah Instantly put me at ease and answered all my questions, I got a full assessment and she built me a programme around my individual needs and reassured me I could get back to resistance training. I left feeling positive about returning to resistance training. At 6 months postpartum my pelvic floor health is better than it’s been for the past 9 years (since having my first baby). I feel the strongest I have ever felt and my resistance training workouts are almost at where I was pre pregnancy. Without Sarah and her expertise I believe this would not have been possible. Sarah’s knowledge, professionalism and training programmes made my postnatal recovery so much easier and gave me so much confidence. I would 100% recommend.
Sarah is amazing and what she does, during my first appointment I felt at ease straight away in the safe space she has created. I went to her postpartum, wanting to return to exercise with a focus on healing my pelvic floor. She gave me evidence based advice focussed on the most up to date information that helped me return to exercise safely and confidently. I would recommend her to anyone looking for support in women’s health physio.
I went to Sarah back in March this year as I was having heaviness / dragging whilst running and suspected a prolapse. She was extremely warm, reassuring and professional. She asked lots of questions to build up a deep understanding of my circumstances, completed posture and movement checks and also an internal examination. She was then very thorough in explaining everything that she was doing and explaining the diagnosis. She provided a rehab plan accessed through an app which was simple to follow and she also kept a line of communication going so I could check in with her on my progress and book a follow up if needed. Highly recommend for any pelvic health issues. I also saw her a few years back for a 'mummy mot' and this was fantastic too so I always recommend her to post natal mums.
I went to see Sarah at 11 weeks PP and I’m so pleased I did! I didn’t see any form of physio after giving birth to my first child and I wish I had. Sarah was incredibly thorough and helped me to understand exactly what has happened to my body since giving birth to my second baby. Since, I’ve followed her rehab programme that she promptly emailed to me after my first appointment and have been following it ever since. Looking forward to my follow up appointment to see how I’ve progressed and where I still need to work on. Sarah is so encouraging, positive and I felt incredibly comfortable with her. Sarah gave me a comprehensive, strengthening and life-changing exercise plan tailored to me. It was so valuable to have the time and expertise of someone specialising in and committed to women's health; this isn't something I've ever experienced before and made an enormous difference.
