There are many reasons to shop at smaller, independent outlets, whether bookshops, or other establishments with different specialities. All of them apply to Darling Reads, which has become a welcome and valuable addition to the Horbury experience since being established at the less than auspicious time of Covid. Knowledgeable, friendly advice and recommendations are despatched as a matter of course, sterling work in the community and with younger readers also deserve mention and respect. Mostly though, you can shop there with confidence because they are very nice people. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Go now! You won't regret it.

Just attended here for the skandar book signing brilliant little book shop the ladies running it are amazing and know alot about different fantasy books. Just pop in and have a look. Much better to support an independent place. Will use here often

Excellent independent bookshop that provides an amazing service. The team are able to order any books I wish to purchase that aren’t available in store and these are available within a couple of days (often next day!!!). The level of personalised service provided is greatly appreciated and I would highly recommend to anyone to visit/order online with Darling Reads.

Absolutely lovely book shop, great for toddler books my son absolutely loved our little visit here. Staff are so friendly. Such a calming and lovely environment.
