Whoever is in charge of pricing in this store really needs a bit of a reality check. Well used toys and clothes are the same prices as new. I often find a few bits I'd like to buy but they are about 3x the cost of other charity shops so I don't bother. Not sure if you're trying to stop resellers but surely getting rid of stock is more important? This week I saw a leapfrog ice cream cart which was missing 75% of the accessories on sale for £20. I bought the same one on Facebook marketplace including all parts for £5. And a toddler basketball hoop was £10. I bought an identical one in a charity shop earlier this year for £1.50.
My word the prices are crazy for a charity shop saw things that were more than new prices online in the kids section no wonder the shop is packed with stock
Love this place. Had a very heavy old desk to donate. Karen was super helpful and the collection Van guys Andy and Joe were brilliant. Shop is amazing - clothes etc downstairs and furniture upstairs, and good prices ( despite what older reviews say). Thanks!
Spent an hour going through my wardrobe. Got a massive selection of jackets suits and shirts to drop off . Drove into town and decided to pull up outside the shop , stick my hazards on and quickly run in with the gear .Only to be instantly stopped and rudely told can't accept before 10 . It was about 9. 45 . So your telling me to leave and come back in about 15 mins and I'm here with hazards on.. unbelievable I cried . Got into my car and went to another charity shop on kirkgate where I was warmly received and thanked. They were very grateful and said the gear would make a lot of money .Said I would be back with some more soon. And I will
Very big charity shop on two floors. The upper floor is furniture and electricals while the ground floor is clothing , books , dvds bric a brac and kids. The lady upstairs doing the hoovering was very pleasant but the younger woman just huffed and puffed and seemed not to want to interact with customers. The tall man downstairs was helpful but looked like he could do with more help on the shop floor.
