The Mews Hotel

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service had that perfect balance of friendly attentiveness, without ever feeling rushed. The standout of the night was my beef bourguignon — rich, tender, and full of flavour, easily one of the best I’ve had to date. The rest of the meals were just as well put together, and everything arrived beautifully presented. A brilliant spot for a hearty, well‑cooked food in Ossett. Already looking forward to the next visit in Feb!

A great pub and hotel, very friendly staff and amazing food; I had a steak and ale pie, the best I have had for a very long time. The pub has a great atmosphere, rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast and service was great, If I am in Dewsbury for work again, I will definately stay there again, a much better stay than any corporate hotel. Highly recommend.

I have stayed at The Mews many times across the past 3 years and my experience has always been excellent. Great atmosphere, great staff and the food is in my view brilliant! Travel around the UK quite a lot in a year - always look forward to staying here. Highly recommend a visit and stay head and shoulders above many more expensive locations nearby.

We booked a superior room, but found the room to be small and gloomy. The main issue we had was the lack of heat in the room, which was compounded by a skimpy duvet that barely reached the sides of the bed. Breakfast was meagre and did not include the option of full English breakfast, and was only served until 9am. I would be willing to make allowances if the room was priced as budget accommodation, but it certainly wasn't.

Good room, lovely shower, great WiFi and the food was amazing. Staff were wonderful and the manager was attentive, patient, chatty and friendly. Will definitely return.
