A great place to visit, with choices for shorter or longer walks. Well worth visiting and exploring
Lovely place, lots of walk options and routes. Fishing lakes but obviously you need the permit.
Walk my spaniel here when not exercising him at Nostell Priory. Great location and currently awash with cowslips. Dog pooh bins only in the carparks, so one has to carry until the end of the walk. Independent café only 300metres from the Shay Lane carpark. Beautiful reserve. Wild deer spotted and many species of wild birds. Lakes, fishing and cycling. Beautiful. I remember it as a Colliery as a small person. Totally amazed at it's transformation.
Super walk with family, catching up and enjoying the scenery with 9 ducklings 3 herons 2 cormorants and many more beautiful wildlife while the Robins twitter away and the wagtail collection supplies
Fresh but makes you feel alive, Herons in several different areas on the fishing pegs and in the trees mum and youngest near the nest, lots of wildlife activity and plenty of people using the facilities, brilliant
