A beautiful little church… tucked slightly away from the roadside in the lovely little village of Wath-Upon-Dearne, in sunny South Yorkshire.💒 Ok, maybe the weather isn’t always so sunny, but step into this little haven, and you will find it very hard not to feel a wonderful wrap of sunny warmth & cosy love envelope your soul…as everyone is instantly welcomed as a friend! Yes, there is also a beautiful string of wonderfully bright sunflowers, 🌻happily smiling there way across the small white wooden painted stage they call a rostrum…which also helps to beam that cosy, ‘loved-up’ feeling of a welcome atmosphere into the room…& yes, it is more like someone’s front room. 🏡 Unlike many more lavish traditional churches, nearly all Spiritual Church’s are just very small, simple & basic…a hot cuppa tea/coffee with a biscuit here will set you back a mere 70p ☕️(as funds raised to just cover costs)…now if that doesn’t warm the cockles of your purse strings, I don’t know what will..? These churches often resemble a home from home cosy touch…it’s almost like you’re just missing the smell of your favourite Granma’s home baked apple pie feeling…I know it sounds mushy but visit one & you will get my drift…oh & bring a tissue or two…if you are lucky enough to receive a message…it doesn’t just make you warm & tingle all over…but may also raise a few nostalgic tears of happiness mixed with a dab of sadness …that actually our lost loved ones are more likely to be just on the other end of an invisible phone line or still sat casually with you in the next chair…& their loving arm is still warmly reaching over your shoulder…only a whisper’s breath away…it can be truly overwhelming, and many are moved to tears but walk out so much brighter & lighter for the realisation of love is eternal & moved from such an experience! 💖 Each week, like minded friends are warmly welcomed to meet & share various services of philosophy, meditation, healing pray & a little sing-a-long…as well as the popular longed for demonstrations of the gifted mediumship! Whereby messages from the ‘other side of life’, are sensitively expressed with equal measures of love, joy & laughter …embracing the personality & characteristic description to help identify the listener with their long lost loved one, friend, family or pet dog/cat! 🐈🐶 If you already believe in life beyond crossing the rainbow bridge, then you know what I’m trying to say…if your sceptical, then you are even more welcome to visit, but be careful you may well walk out a totally transformed believer! A worthy point of note is the highly trained & qualified mediums from the platform do NOT practise the unfounded, but often joked about psychic, fortune telling, voo-doo mumbo jumbo that promises you a pot of gold with next weeks lottery numbers…infact predications of any nature are actually banded by the Spiritualist Governing Body SNU. Most Sunday’s around the UK there is a ‘Divine Service’, somewhere near you starting around 6️⃣pm, with an invited guest Medium, who will speak from the rostrum to share their spiritually inspired philosophy, followed by a demonstration of mediumship to the congregation of friends, if they so wish to receive a message. An actual reading 📖 or poem of a spiritual theme from a volunteer…again these pages are more often chosen or inspired by the loving whisper of spirit. Friends are invited to sing along 2/3 feel good songs, which also help to combine energies and lift up the vibrations as you expect with any church service. At these services the energy is mindfully combined as one to embrace healing first for ‘yourself’…then to names called out from the presiding speaker with a list written each week, into a healing prayer book (first names entered only for confidentiality but again anyone can write in a request), followed by a minutes silence to reflect and send healing thoughts to those in need, the animal kingdom & the universe. Sunday Services are free of charge with a monetary free will donation, passed around on a small plate at the end of service. 🙏💒

I've been to untold churches around the country, in my 30yrs practicing spiritualism but none quite has what Wath & West Melton does. The most warm and welcoming committee and the most soothing healing energy I've felt... You don't actually need to see a healer there. The members are always as welcoming and the service and circles are always filled with energy and fun.

I attend this church regularly and I have never had anything but positivity and welcoming atmosphere from everyone at this church, every new face is welcomed with open arms , and the mediums work with humour and upliftment which is a refreshing way to work, as I feel we have had enough sadness in our life, 5 stars x
