The Church House - JD Wetherspoon

I review Public houses to experience the service but also to see if drinks are poured correctly. I was not there long to experience bad pours including rude attitude from a man working behind the bar who could not care less about service by trying to serve a guiness in a very warm glass but when challenged he continued the very bad service in pouring it incorrectly and when I moved the glass away from the tap resting it on the bar so it may settle he immediately grabbed it as I explained the reason why I placed it faraway to allow it to be poured correctly but with a bad attitude did not care & started to fill the glass. I explained customers do not expect service or badly poured drinks but continued to receive a rude attitude and him stating her does not care. If you want to receive very bad service but also drinks this is the place to go. The worst pub for beverage and service in Wath area so far.

One of my favourite spoons in South Yorkshire. Beautiful building from the outside and the inside didn't disappoint me. I enjoyed a very good breakfast, and asked for a popular ale, which was excellent (see photos).

We eat here regularly and the curry is spot on! Service is friendly and professional. With an open fire in the cold months what more can you ask for? Great value drink and delicious food!

Absolutely love the atmosphere in the church house. Always someone to talk to fantastic place to have a relaxing drink with friends. Unfortunately today I was introduced to a vile female member for staff, very rude in her manner giving dirty looks to the party of friends we were with and her general demona was very unprofessional.
