Location is great, to access a couple of Trans Pennine trails for dog walks, in Bolton and near Manvers Lake. Parking area is white clay mud (dust in dry weather) and WILL dirty your car, boots and dog. Huuuge pot holes which fill with white clay water. Space for about 10 cars maximum.
Fine place to park AND IT IS FREE! There was a mobile coffee shop there when we started our walk but unfortunately it had gone when we got back.
Great free place to park for the river dearne walk or to get to manners lake.
Convenient carpark, surface is a little fought and there's no rubbish bin. Serves it's purpose though
Perfect location to meet up for a walk or start of a cycle ride along the transnpennine way.
