Built 1859-65 to designs by West Riding architects Mallinson & Healey, St. John's Church is listed grade II. There is an organ from 1875 by Henry 'Father' Willis (1821-1901), the foremost organ builder in the Victorian era - his business remains today with world renown. The East window is in stained glass by John Hardman (1811-67), who worked with Pugin. So, it has much of interest. Car parking is directly opposite & public toilets are at the Village Hall (though only in summer months). Church is open each day in daylight hours.
A lovely church, in the village of Welburn Built in the 19th century, the church overlooks the village Easy parking outside makes it easy to access the church, however on my visit the church was locked Lovely graveyard to have a wander
