Central Garage Welburn Ltd

First time and last time at this garage. Very expensive. Wouldn't tell me how much it cost after service and MOT. I asked twice and both times said it would come in the post. Post! I live exactly 1.4 miles away at the next village. Not surprised when I saw the cost! They did the service before the MOT. I asked to ring me before doing anything major. They didn't. And apparently had to replace all my wheel nuts and didn't give me a locking nut. Said I can buy em online. Would have cost me a further £50 to buy one but not before spending forever trying to find one that fit. Thankfully I went back for help as the guy who I originally saw always seemed to be busy or in a rush. The other lads working there however were very helpful and gave me a spare one they had. Considering how nice other reviews were I was reluctant to write this. However, I've since had my first fault since owning the car which has prompted this review. Won't be back. If anyone else feels like something is off, then speak up and write about it. I should have said something at the time when it felt wrong.

Just had my wing mirror repaired here and the service was great. I also asked them to look at my Aircon which wasn’t working and also check my exhaust as I was convinced I could smell exhaust fumes when the car was idling. The Aircon has a leak, which explains why the re-gas at Kwik Fit last year hasn’t lasted. The exhaust itself is fine, but there’s a problem with the manifold. I’ve been given really good options and advice about How much to do and not do and where to save money if needed. I’ve only just moved in the area and this is my first time using Central garage in Welburn. I’m really pleased so far and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you, Mark and Nichola. PS I spent a very fine half hour enjoying a coffee and breakfast at Dogh opposite whilst they were working in my car. A great excuse for a treat!!!

I have just recently started using Central Garage after being recommended to do so by my partner and I have been very impressed by the service I have received. The guys there are really helpful and friendly and most importantly honest. Highly recommend 🙂

I found all the guys very easy to deal with and professional. I dropped my car off for service and Will kept in touch about other things that needed doing-i needed brake replacements and they quoted me a very reasonable price. All in all a great experience. Would definately recommend these guys and would 100% go back again when needed.

I've been getting my cars MOT'd and repaired here for many years, probably over 20 years, all the work has been first class and price wise at very reasonable rates, just had a wheel bearing replaced on my Volvo XC70 - an excellent job and the car is quiet again now! The whole team are friendly and very helpful, good guys! Thanks Ken
