A beautiful church with well tended grounds
Very welcoming, lovely coffee mornings on Saturday.
I hadn't been able to go to my Husband's grave for 4 years due to illness etc. I can't believe how bad the churchyard and graves look. The path down to the graves is very rough and luckily for me my Son in Law pushed me down in my wheelchair. There's no way that I would be able to use my small mobility scooter to go on as I'd probably fall off of it due to the uneven path. Is there anything g that could be done about the path? Does anyone know? I wish I'd followed my own judgement and has my Husband buried at Thorner. At least it is run by the Council and looked after.
Good access for wheelchair users, plenty of parking available. The church is open everyday for anyone to call in and look around, say a prayer, light a candle, have some time on your own or chat to someone. This is a beautiful church nice and warm and always has lots of things happening for people to get involved in.
