A brilliant staff team, with a real sense of community and the Town Hall hosts many community events and is dedicated to help the community. We have hosted several community events here and highly recommend this, the rent and room hire is very reasonable and the utilities and services excellent.
Rather old fashioned and in need of a lot of money spending on it to modernise it's appeal. It is used a lot and is a good venue for meetings and events. Staffed most of the time and acting as a centre for access to for example Barclay's bank which has moved out of the town. Collection point for acorns, chestnuts etc for planting by Leeds cc. Useful for pop up events. Clean toilets including a disabled toilet. Disabled access plus a lift. Frequent coffee mornings by various town groups. Excellent news, a complete refurbish next month in October 2023. Should increase the bookings and thus revenue. Refurb now complete movement sensitive glass doors to enter the hall are a great improvement and the place looks bigger and cleaner.
Plenty of diversity....great greengrocer, cheese shop (wonderful), pork butcher, wet fish shop to but name a few. The town hall has many fairs and one day sales and is having work done to the exterior at the moment. Thursday is market day with stall around the town hall. Parking is limited, but plenty of car parks fairly close by.
Always love The Wetherby Town Hall at Christmas, or near to Christmas, for the fact they have a great night of fun and activities for both young and older. From the turn on of the Lights, to the Christmas Market, Christmas Carol Singer's, music and on occasion a Fireworks Display that light up the faces as well as the overhead skies. A great place to visit this Christmas.
We didn't actually go in the town hall but went to the Christmas Market. Which was very good. A wreath we purchased was very good quality and well priced in comparison to others we saw in Ilkley Otley and Skipton. The Whaler is also a popular stop. Thanx to all.
