This places quality of food is not it for the price. Spent over £30 on two mains which one was not nice. The lasagna had two layers of stringy cheese barely any meat whatsoever the garlic bread was stale like bread. I really don’t like leaving places negative reviews but the only positive was that they had a nice outdoor seating area outside.
Visited this evening and had a fabulous time. Food was impeccable and made to a high standard. The atmosphere of the venue was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately our experience was tainted by some customers who were complaining about their food and sending it back. Staff handled this professionally and with a smile. From where we were sitting, there was nothing wrong with their food. What a shame!
We stayed in Wetherby for a weekend break and ate in the New Inn both nights of our stay because the food was that good! We received a warm welcome, food came quickly and was delicious. Great value for money. We would highly recommend.
We attended here on Christmas Day and were really looking forward to it, especially as the management had been very accommodating beforehand and even showed us where we would be seated. As a family, we paid over £300 to dine here, so our expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was appalling, the vegetables were hard, the main consisted of just one slice of turkey and one roast potato, and it was even served without gravy. When we asked for gravy, the member of staff scoffed at us, which felt very unprofessional. The waiting times were absurd, something that has clearly been an issue raised in previous reviews. Many people didn’t even bother waiting for their desserts. We did wait, only for the desserts to arrive incorrectly. When we pointed this out, once again we were made to feel like a huge inconvenience rather than valued customers. We did try to make the most out of a bad situation, but we won’t be re-booking. Overall, this was a very poor experience, especially given the cost and the fact it was Christmas Day.
Really enjoyed this place , good old fashioned English pub with a great Sunday roasts , lovely young lady looked after us. We had a slight wait between starter and main , but their was 10 of us . Food was spot on and plenty of it, will definitely go again.
