We had a really great meal, food was excellent and service was welcoming and friendly. What a lovely team. Our whole experience was faultless, thank you … we will be back!
This is one of our locals, living in Wetherby, and we are so lucky this pub is here. Despite the fact we have upwards of a dozen pubs in walking distance, we come here every time we just fancy some food out. The food is superb! Always! The pub is basically split in half, with an informal restaurant on one side and a cosy pub area on the other, but it is mostly geared around food, which is understandable in today's world. They often run light on staff, but again, totally understandable In this day and age, so for those who've come for the first time, i'd encourage patience if they are busy. We are so glad we have them and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be assured of a lovely, cosy, fulfilling meal. P.s. best Fish and Chips anywhere!! And the crumble is to die for. I pretty much have these every time!
Second time I’ve visited here (first time was earlier this year when it was still the Bay Horse) and I wasn’t disappointed. Visited as a family of four with our two dogs who were made very welcome, as were we. Fantastic pub food which you can tell is freshly made and is reasonably priced. Very good service too, all in front of a lovely, roaring real fire which was very welcome on a cold and wet November evening. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back or recommend to others.
From the moment we arrived in the pub, we were made to feel very unwelcomed despite being the only customers in the pub. Struggled to understand the waitress and when queried the cost of a kids Sunday roast portion, she laughed saying ' I have no idea' and walked away. Her colleague again couldn't answer and when the bill came it was £9.50. Could not fault the food, food was delicious but again when asked the barman for extra gravy, no response but did arrive. Despite the food being of excellent quality, we decided not to wait and order pudding as we were completely ignored, not even asking how are food was. Other customers arrived and both the barman and waitress were friendly and accommodating to them (possibly regulars) but not to new customers. Would not go back.
Beautiful. Ignore the single negative review - this place is great. Lively food and service. Good selection of drinks
