Wetherby barbers

I use these barbers every time now, excellent at what they do, friendly and the shop is always really clean.

My son had his first hair cut here and was happy with the style. A few days later he started with some irritation at the back of his head but we did associate with the hair cut at this time. He went for his second hair cut here and as they started the skin fade I noticed a red ring on the back of his head, we managed to get it checked that day by the GP and they confirmed it was ring worm and prescribed antibiotics and steroid cream. At the time we did not connect it to his recent hair cut. The ring worm was treated but my son now has a bald patch at the back of head. At the time we didn’t associate it with the hair cut so he went for his third hair cut, again within a few days he started itching and the GP confirmed that he had caught ring worm again further down his head. My son has now been on 2 lots of antibiotics, 2 steroid creams and a shampoo he needed to use for 6 weeks, he also has 2 bald patches at the back of his. Looking back at his second cut when we initially noticed the red ring, the staff did not clean the shaver or change it, they immediately started cutting another man’s hair so no wonder it spreads so quickly. My son has now been going to a new hairdresser and having the exact same cut without any further cases of ring worm. Been going to Wetherby Barbers for quite a while now since they opened. Always a pleasant experience and Soly always gives me a great haircut and beard shape every time - would highly reccomend! 👍
