From start to finish, it was a pleasure to deal with GE Hartley & Sons Funeral Directors. We didn't really know what to do or where to start, but from the moment we made contact with them, they basically took all the worry and stress out of the whole process. Stewart came to the house to discuss our needs and was so professional and caring and put us all at ease the moment he walked in. He was very clear and informative about the process, and after discussing what sort of funeral we were wanting, he basically arranged everything - flowers, order of service, liasing with the church and crematorium - it meant that we could then concentrate on supporting each other whilst grieving, knowing that they had control of everything behind the scenes. They were extremely professional and a great support on the day of the funeral and we wouldn't hesitate in using them again in the future. I would highly recommend GE Hartley & Sons - the whole team were so nice to deal with at such a difficult time.

I was very impressed with the service provided by Stewart. We saw him in person and he also spoke to us on the phone. He helped us arrange the whole process. I was particularly impressed with the floral tribute, order of service and the catering company. All of which were arranged through Stewart. At the funeral Stewart was very much a calming influence explaining where to walk and stand. Many thanks for your wonderful service.

My Father died back in July suddenly at home. No one really tells you what to do or how to organise things. I rang them that morning and they were wonderful, so compassionate and supportive, they discussed how they will help and what was going to happen. Emma came and I don’t remember much about that day other than she was calm, respectful and supportive to our family. Over the next few weeks she guided us throughout, I look back now and think of everything she did for us all the way through and beyond his funeral.
