Boots Pharmacy

The prescription collection service is very poor. There’s rarely sufficient staff, resulting in a long queue. Today, they were on lunch and so the service was closed (🙄🙄), and the restart time on their notice didn’t match what I was eventually told by a member of staff. They have little regard for their customers and never use their eyes to see what is happening and improve their service. If they continue like this I’m going elsewhere.

The pharmacy here is always extremely busy, with hardly anyone at the front desk. I ordered my eczema prescription ages ago and they said they didn’t have it so gave me an “owe you” sticker, when I went back to collect it they said I took too long to collect it so I have to reorder it from my doctors, so I reordered it and when I went to collect it they gave me something completely different! I tried calling the customer service number from the replies on the other comments and the number just transfers you to boots head office? A pharmacy that doesn’t know how to pharmacy.

My partner had a bloodshot eye. He went into the pharmacy after being told by another pharmacy that they did not have the drops he needed. Wetherby boots pharmacists told him he should seek medical advice and that they didn’t think drops would work and that it was something more. We went to a walk in centre and after some tests discovered he had kidney failure with only 4% kidney function. We had no idea. Without the staffs advice we would have gone home with eyedrops and he probably wouldn’t be here today. After a month in hospital he is now having dialysis and awaiting a kidney transplant. I am very grateful he is still here and thankful for the staff at this store.

Waste of time going between 13.00-14.00 as they are closed. But yet they haven't announced this on there website or anywhere else
