Dogs Trust

My wife, who also sponsors a dog though Dogs Trust, visited this shop on Saturday 12th July and found a bag that she liked which was priced at £6.50 and took it to the till. The woman behind the till then said that she could not sell the bag for this price, but she would sell it for £25! My wife complained that this was not the price on the ticket and the woman behind the till then called my wife tight for not agreeing to pay the higher price and was generally unpleasant/aggressive. She also said that the shop had 'had to work hard' for the things that they were selling. My wife was very upset about the whole encounter and certainly won't be shopping there again, which is a shame because she has always gone in there whenever she has been in Wetherby. As it would be a shame for the dogs who benefit from the sales in this charity shop to suffer, perhaps the people that run it should be aware of the kind of customer service that's been given and the impact this is having on customers who are being treated like this when just trying to buy an item on sale there. It was not my wife's fault that the item had been ticketed incorrectly and, as she rightly pointed out, does this mean that there will be a bartering session for every item that is taken to the till? We certainly won't be going back there again.

This is a little gem on the high st - please pop in if you are passing by you won't be disappointed.

Being a dog owner myself and my partner called in and found a well cared for shop with a great range of goods to suit everyone and we walked out 10 lighter but happy with the knowledge that the money was going to a great cause thumbs up and give it a go
