Absolutely brilliant area to sit and look at the tranquility of this beautiful river! Here you are next to the small waterfall that commonly has swans around and lots of ducks. The fish sculpture and wheel are also really nice additions to this area.

Lovely walk from the free Wilderness Car Park alongside the River Wharfe. The path goes past several picnic tables under the road bridge and there’s a gentle sloping path up to the town centre. You can carry on past this path to view the replica water wheel, the ornate Salmon sculpture and the weir to walk past the gardens of The Old Mill apartments and up a steep road to the town centre.

Love to walk by the river, but it doesn't feel quite as well kept as it used to. There is litter about everywhere. We picked some of the dry stuff and put it in the bin.

Free to walk trail along the river Wharfe. Little inlets were you can go paddle/swim/paddleboard etc. Did see a sign that the water quality was poor. The trail can be as short or long as you make it by cutting over the sports fields or going around it or even over the bridge to the circular around the next field. There's also a park in that field and s skate park in the main field.

What a lovely place to visit. Plenty of nice shops and eateries and ample parking. It's a lovely place to walk/walk dogs too.
