Visiting Malton for a couple of days for the first time. While Malton is very dog friendly I just googled places I could take her for a quick walk in the town and the castle gardens was the most appealing option do of we went. Got there too find out only assistance dogs are allowed. Not sure who's worse here, the gardens or Google.....
Wooded area steep climb up steps from the street.
Pleasant, calm and tranquil, rabbits and robins, reasonable paths through the woodland bits and has places to sit. Links in to Orchard Fields which is deffo worth a visit.
It is a nice place to walk around the garden plenty of wildlife to see from bitds of prey to rabbits, it has a few places to sit and soak up the atmosphere and tranquility of a garden quite close to busy roads during the day time.
Beautiful little secret garden hidden right in plain sight, This garden is situated less than a hundred yards from the centre of a busy town and is yet almost unused, hidden from the road by a hotel to one side and a row of cottages the the other it's easiest access would be from the Orchards fields (old Roman fort grounds) Anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of walking this tiny little paradise should, its main issue is that it isn't very large so better to add this as a sectional of a longer walk.
