Stayed in The Parlour - beautifully decorated to a high standard. Warm, amazing bath, comfortable bed - the location is quiet. Lovely location to stay while visiting friends in Richmond. The property is on the ground floor but as it’s on a slope and the bedroom and bathroom are in adjacent single storey buildings, there are steps between the living and bedroom and bedroom and bathroom. Lighting is excellent. There’s an external door from the bedroom so bringing cases in is easy. Excellent wi-fi. We’d happily stay again.

2 families staying. We have been here twice in the last year and have loved it both times. The cottages have everything you could need and are lovely. We brought our kids and one dog and we all had the best time. Not far from Richmond which is nice to walk around, plus the castle was stunning. Great time had, thank you very

For my 50th birthday, my family generously gifted us a night away. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to cancel our reservation twice, both with ample notice: In September 2024, a close family member was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. In June 2025, our newly adopted rescue dog, who we planned to bring with us, had a traumatic accident when he jumped off a 25-foot bridge, requiring major surgery on his legs and a recovery period of 8-10 weeks. While Lauren kindly refunded the first cancellation, the second cancellation—nine months later—was met with a very different response. Despite our situation, Lauren strictly adhered to the policy and refused to offer a refund or allow us to rebook, citing our three-week notice. It felt like we were speaking to an automated system, with no empathy for the exceptional circumstances. Although she was happy to keep our £302 payment for one night (since the cottage was never re-booked), Lauren's advice was to take out holiday insurance for any future bookings. How thoughtful! It's a shame because the place looks lovely, and we would have been regular customers and happily recommended it to others.

A wonderful cottage in the Yorkshire country just outside Richmond. We stayed in the Parlour which was wonderfully decorated & furnished. The owner Lauren was excellent in arranging & returning our iPad ( we left it at the cottage 🙄 ) I would highly recommend this property Steve & Jackie

We stayed in the Bull Pen cottage. It’s an absolutely beautiful cottage in a incredibly peaceful setting. Richmond is only a very short drive away. There are a few cottages here, all surrounded by fields, by night all we could hear was the sheep in some near by fields! The cottage has been decorated to very high standard. Every little attention to detail has been thought of. On arrival we found a fantastic welcome box with all the essential in you need initially. There is a separate building which has a washing machine, tumbler drier and iron in. A great little set up. I didn’t mind do a spot of ironing with such fantastic views across the fields to look at. Communication with the owner has been excellent, very easy contactless check in. We found a folder in the cottage with lots of local information and contact details for the owner and other useful numbers. My only negative was that we should of booked for longer as we really didn’t want to leave!
