Welcome to this spacious family home on Whitby’s West Cliff. The house benefits from sea views, parking for three cars, and you can walk down on to the beach in just 2 minutes. The house is close to local shops, restaurant, Post Office, pub and takeaways. A pleasant stroll along the cliff top takes you into the town centre via Captain Cook’s statue and the Whale Bone Arch. The house is very well equipped with excellent quality linens, an extensive range of kitchen equipment and has an enclosed rear garden which provides a safe place for children to play. There is a conservatory to the rear of the property so you can make the most of the sunshine, even in the winter.

Accommodation

Built in the 1930’s, the house has an entrance hall leading to the lounge, dining room and kitchen. There is also a downstairs toilet off the entrance hall. The lounge has sea views and comfortable leather sofas to relax on at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The dining room looks out through the conservatory to the garden and has a dining table with seating for up to 8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range with 8 burners and 2 ovens, a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge and freezer. There is also a table and 6 chairs for a quick breakfast or lunch if you so wish.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a large en-suite shower room and has glorious views out to sea, it’s lovely to sit in the bay window and watch the ships pass by. There is a second bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with 2 single beds and a hand basin. The family bathroom room has shower over the bath, hand basin and wc.

The fully enclosed garden at the rear has a garden table and 2 benches and there is a barbecue for use on summer evenings. There is a garden to the front of the house with gravelled parking space for up to 3 cars, an important advantage in Whitby in the summer!

We welcome families and there is a cot and high chair if you need it. We have a selection of children’s games and DVDs for when the weather is not so pleasant. There are books, DVDs and WiFi to keep the adults occupied!
