Beautiful church with great history. Thank you to Sonia. It was wonderful to learn more about the church. The supporting beams are actually used ships masts. We would very much recommend a visit. The church is on facebook.
Lovely, welcoming volunteer in this attractive church which really is in desperate need of some tlc. Please visit and support when it is open. Interesting information sheets telling you about the church and its history. There used to be a cupola up on the roof, housing the church's bells, but it rotted away and the roof is in a poor state too. The three delightful bells have been rescued and are on the upper gallery, along with their bonging strike rods - technical term, ha ha. I was even shown one of the two original lead lined loos, though obv no longer operational. It's just cut into one of the benches amongst the pews upstairs, no privacy screening....! The church doesn't have public loos or heating and is limping on trying to survive on whatever financial support it can garner. It's a building that needs saving! Worth visiting. Donations so gratefully received.

A beautiful church in the centre of Whitby. I go in every time we go . I love the Gregorian hymns that are played. The tabernacle is beautifully lit and it is such a peaceful place. I always light a candle in the blessed Virgin Mary part. Thank you for such a beautiful sanctuary ❤️
Visited while on holiday. Doesn't look much from the outside but inside is lovely with beautiful wooden carvings. Glad we popped in.
