After a disappointing experience at Bon Appétit Wine Bar and Bistro, our group of seven decided to visit The Esk Vaults — and it completely turned our evening around. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, creating a great vibe all around. We all ordered pizzas, which are served until 9:30, and they were delicious. There was no rush at all — just an easy, enjoyable experience. We sat upstairs, which was a lovely spot to relax and chat. The selection of craft beers was impressive, and we were really glad to have stumbled upon this gem of a pub. Would definitely return and highly recommend!
Great pub really is a hidden gem. Really good selection of craft beers and cider. Easily the best pizza I've ever had didn't try the burgers but they look really good. Will definitely be going again would recommend it to everyone
Great little bar. Upstairs and has two levels. Does great looking pizza and a couple of other food options and has a selection of craft ale on draft.
Absolute gem of a find, Great craft beers, lovely pizza full of flavour. Highly recommend
A Hidden Gem That Saved Our Evening After a disappointing experience at another local restaurant, we arrived here around 8.40pm feeling a little deflated — but from the moment we stepped inside, everything turned around. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff who immediately made us feel welcome and even joked that we’d get better pizza for a lower price — and they were absolutely right. The pizzas were incredible (we tried two of the specials), the nachos were spot on, and the selection of beers was genuinely impressive. For a quirky little bistro, the atmosphere was cosy, relaxed and full of charm. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease — great food, great service, and great value. We’ll definitely be back!
