Don't leave Whitby without coming here. Especially if you have dogs. The owners are lovely, the food is good and there are some nice trinkets on sale. Perfect snack stop.
The owner and proprietor Claire is lovely and helpful. Claire is happy to help and accommodate in anyway she can, be it making items without certain ingredients or having the knowledge to advise on other more suitable items. I have a dicky tum so this was very helpful. Her lovely assistant Dave, while only working part time is also friendly and always there to cheer you up.
Lovely, wooden 'shack' just off the front. Really nicely done up. It's cardboard cups (not the cheap nasty ones!) and bamboo cutlery but that's fine with us! Called Friday lunchtime on Goth Weekend. It had a steady flow of customers. There is indoor and out door seating and it's dog friendly. It's not uber posh but most people don't want that when visiting the seaside for the day. The young girl that was serving was absolutely delightful! And never stopped for a minute! Looked like she was on her own but was pushing herself between serving, stacking shelves and cleaning tables. And still managed a smile and a kind word to her customers! Coffee was hot without being too hot, the coffee and walnut cake was good and it only came to £7.45 for a latte, a flat white and a slice of cake!!!! There was an offer in for a drink and slice of cake for £4.75. Very reasonable! NB - a shack nearer the front, round the corner, was charging over £4 for a coffee!!! Would I recommend it - yes! Would I visit again - definitely!
Had coffee and milkshakes today. Clare sure knows how to make the best drinks in Whitby! Daughter had waffles a couple of days ago when the regatta was on, she said it was perfect. Clare has recently taken on this premises and we wish her all the best for the future. She also offers a picnic on the go for those heading down the hill from Westcliff for the day out. I highly recommend the Biscoff milkshake! 💜💜💜 Thank you, from Clair
Great waffels before a day on the beach 🏖. It has recently been taken over by a lovely friendly lady, The decor is lovely and the waffles are still amazing. I would definitely recommend a visit and a waffle, the hot chocolate is also lovely, I will be visiting again soon for another smile and chat. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
