This is a very nice hotel. Location is perfect for Whitby centre although parking is tricky because of that. Staff are friendly and helpful ( the receptionist gave us very good advuce on where to park), the room we had was excellent, decent size, comfortable bed, well equiped with a modern furniture and good quality bed linen and a modern bathroom which had nice fluffy towels. Room had iron, hair dryer and was provided with bottled water, tea and coffee and nice bikkies. We ate in for a couple of meals which were the usual Wetherspoons stuff, good choice and cheap and cheerful. The service was excellent, used the app and drinks arrived in less than 5 minutes, food 5 minutes later. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the tabes cleared quickly. Overall, excellent value for money. I have paid a lot more and got a lot less.
Ordered some food here. Thr food came out quickly however the pub was quiet as it was quite late at night. The chicken strips were nice and piping hot. But the chips were cold. The pizza was cold, and didn't taste very nice. However on the positive the food was drinks are cheap especially for being in whitby. Not the worst for a quick bite but dont expect anything amazing.
We had a great stay last night (2 rooms 411 & 412) excellent. Receptionist Jackie Smith so knowledgeable about Whitby and very charismatic. Jackie is someone who goes out of her way to make the stay lovely.
Superb, can get busy. Understandable. Very nice building to sit in. Much better than Scarborough's. If your lucky you can get a window seat overlooking the harbour. Clean and well priced.
Called in today with my wife and 33yr old son for something to eat and have a drink at the same time.. Had to ask twice to have table cleared and wiped. The staff cleared the table but never wiped the table which it was very dirty. They appeared to be very short staffed. Food was well cooked and presentable. I wouldn't order a small adults fish and chips as the fish was very small. Ok for a small child.drinks were ok after waiting a very long time at the bar.
