Superb location and very friendly staff. Stayed for a night in the twin room and was a good size with tea and coffee and some biscuits. View from the window was stunning. The only downside was could hear the neighbours talk middle of the night.
Always pop in when in the area. Like all venues in the area can get very busy. For us its super dog friendly so a massive bonus. Once again faultless visit. Pub type food but great fast service food as ud except service really good reasonable priced. Does what its ment to with add friendly staff and great with the four legged friends. Will be back again in a few months.
Brilliant and friendly landlord who was very accommodating to our family getting out of the cold for a quick drink. The cask ale was in excellent condition and the prices reasonable. Whitby has some brilliant pubs but this might be the best one.
Didn’t stay overnight but wanted to highlight this great bar. Felt like a pub grub meal (mainly as I didn’t want the £30 steak nearby). Wasn’t gormet, but hit the spot. Great staff too. Wasn’t going to stay for the live music but we had a seat and, as we were in no rush to leave, we had a great time listening to the band and hubby even had a dance. Impromptu night out and the barman was very helpful and booked us a taxi back to our B&B.
Stated they were slightly understaffed however this didn’t impact our experience as one young girl in particular was running around clearing everybody’s tables and giving out food, she seemed really sweet. The food we had was incredible, one of the best lasagnes ever! Would definitely come here again if we come back to Whitby.
