Saturday hours are 4:15 PM to 7:45 PM, and the shop is closed on Sundays. Please note that the premises do not offer wheelchair accessible entrance or seating. Payment is accepted in cash only.

Proper traditional chip shop. Brilliant service & immaculately clean with delicious food. Much better value than the "big boys" in town. Check the opening times. Supposedly where the locals go so that says it all. As good as it gets.
My inaugural seafood fry in Whitby and it did not disappoint. Fish bits and scampi. They were criminally light, crispy, but quite oily, something I’m not used to. The homemade tartar sauce was on point too! Friendly and efficient staff.
Riverside chippy in whitby, uk , not in the town centre and one the locals use as its cheaper ! Huge haddock and portion of chips 9.40 ! I got the large peas for 2.40 but you can get a smaller for 1.20 and i got a curry sauce for dipping ! Absolutley glorious ! One of the best chippys ive had in whitby and ive tried a few as my family live here so i visit often lol 😋😋❤❤ Also unlike most chippys in whitby this ones takeaway only for anyone that was planning on going xxx
We had a 20+ mins drive to our Airbnb in Ravenscar before we ate and the fish batter & chips were still really good, I wonder just how good it would have been if we'd eaten straight away... Curry sauce was a bit sweet for my preference, but still good. And they do batter bits! Not sure how you to rate the "atmosphere" in a chippy, but the staff were quick and friendly.
Best fish & chips in Whitby, used by lots of locals so must be good. All cooked to order, good sized portions & much cheaper than in the town. Closes at 7.45 so you need to drink early!
