Visited this chip shop today for lunch. I had haddock with chips and my husband had scamp both cooked fresh whilst we waited. On leaving the shop my husband accidentally knocked mine clean out my hands...absolutely gutted. To my amazement without hesitation the guy behind the counter popped a fresh fish into the fryer and cooked me a fresh meal. On top of that he wouldn't take any money for it. The service was superb and both meals were divine. Cooked to perfection.......highly recommended.
Fantastic fish and chips! We visited on a Tuesday evening and had cod, haddock a sausage, beans and mushy peas (all with chips of course!). Everything was cooked to order and the fish was delicious; super fresh and with the most AMAZING crispy batter (see photos!). Chips were top notch to boot. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend!
The cod was freshly made, they did it just in front of you after ordering. The chips were just fine. The service was efficient.
Wow!!! After visiting Whitby many times and Trenchers restaurant, we visited their take away restaurant this time. Honestly "THE" Best fish and chips ever!!!! Thick, white juicy cod, superb chips, peas and 'scraps'...only negative...they charge 50p per sachet of ketchup which they forgot to put in the bag!
Staff are very accommodating and helpful. The chips we got were the best chips we've ever had. Cooked to perfection. They fry in veg oil so good for vegetarians/vegans.
