We were very happy with the food, but service was hectic and rude. The lady who delivered the food to our table forgot the serviettes and told us, we can get them at the counter by ourselves. No understanding of basic service culture…🙈

We had the Yorkshire Afternoon Tea, and every individual aspect of it was outstanding. You get a lot for your money, and I ended up getting half of it wrapped up to take home, so it actually did me 2 meals. Wonderful staff too, who were very friendly with us (tourists) but also incredibly kind and patient with their regulars.

The food was well presented and freshly prepared. There was plenry of filling in the sandwiches and the homemade coleslaw delicious.

The lemon buns, sausage rolls, and pork pies were amazing, as were the other pies we tried. The barm cakes are fresh and packed with filling. My only issue, which I found a bit odd, was getting beetroot and sweetcorn when I asked for a full salad on the barm, instead of the usual lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber. This mix just didn't work and ruined the taste of the barm. I'd say don't ask for the full salad unless you actually like tomato, cucumber, lettuce, onion, beetroot, and sweetcorn together.
