Such a charming bookstore! It’s beautifully decorated and feels so cozy the moment you walk in. They have a wide selection of titles, something for everyone, and the whole atmosphere makes you want to stay and browse for hours. A must visit if you love books and cute spaces!

Beautiful shop with some absolutely stunning editions of some of my most favourite books. Really enjoyed looking around and was going to buy quite a few different ones. Unfortunately whilst looking, I found a book which seemed to be mistakenly placed in the YA section when it definitely isn't classified as YA, its classed as New Adult and was extremely explicit. When placed with books such as twilight, it was a big shock. I politely took the book to the counter to let staff know it might be wrongly placed but the lady was extremely standoffish and quite rude about it. Honestly, I was just being polite and trying to help, we even tried to laughed it off before the staff member made some rude comments. Clearly she was NOT impressed with me trying to be helpful. Super sad, would have loved to stay a while longer and bought some books like we had the other bookshop up the road but we were rather shocked and put off with this ladies attitude and rude comments. Someone outside the shop commented on how rude she was after seeing the exchange too. For future reference, chill dude. We were just trying to help! Independent book shops are my favourite place on earth and somewhere i spend almost all my money and your attitude was like a slap to the face to someone trying to help!

Great little bookshop with a lovely selection of local interest books and fun Dracula section. My daughter loved the winding staircase up to the second floor. They also sell gifts, vinyl and some toys/ games.

Visited this bookstore and ordered the new Jeffrey Archer novel, which arrived the next day. Upon collecting the novel, my wife and I did some shopping around Whitby and we’re surprised to receive a phone call from the bookstore asking us if we could return and exchange our copy for a signed copy, this being, we were the first to purchase it. To say I was surprised, would be an understatement. First class service from a cracking little bookshop, who looks after their customers, a trait which is lacking these days. A big hearty thank you from a customer in Scotland.
