Being a collector of Dracula books, as in different prints, I was overwhelmed with choice here at The Whitby Shop. They have basic prints as well as deluxe editions, some I'd never seen before & I had trouble selecting a favourite. The choice is excellent & I'm hoping to return this weekend for more copies. It's a great shop although the customer service could be a little better tuned & polished.
Loved this shop, love the posters, spent a lot of money with them over the past few years. Unfortunately bought two of the same poster, only realised once home. On our next visit I asked to exchange, absolutely no chance was the reply from the girl behind the counter, she really couldn’t be bothered. The pictures still in wrapper with their shop stickers on, refused to even look at a bank statement as proof of purchase. Id have bought a few more today, however after that I’ll struggle to go back in. It’s a shame as it’s a decent shop, no wonder people shop online!
My child visited this shop during a school trip and received incorrect change. Several classmates reported the same experience. Please double-check your change when visiting.
Visited whitby today as never been and seems lovely. Shop was great but woman behind the counter was miserable and couldn't care less about the products. Looking at the reviews, there seems to be a common theme about poor customer service so I can't say I'm surprised.
Nice selection of items and the books are reasonably priced. The service on the other hand was poor. I bought a book from here the other day and it felt like I was bothering the member of staff by doing so, like I was an inconvenience. She was unpleasant and didn't ask if I wanted a bag, but just seemingly assumed I didn't - it would have been nice to have been asked. Considering the top service I received in the book and game shop across the road from here, I wasn't impressed. I will not be going out of my way to visit this shop again and I immediately regretted giving this shop my business.
