Really lovely service yesterday from the lady at the till, unsure of her name. However, I bought a lovely mini guitar! She was very kind and the service was fantastic. I’m really pleased with my purchase many thanks
Was staying in Whitby for a few days over the Bank Holiday and called in this shop to purchase the pink ‘Surprised Basset Hound. I was charged £49.99 for it, which was paid via my bank card. We actually called back for it later in the day. We were due home the next day, so didn’t unbox my Basset Hound statue, until we arrived back. I unboxed it the next day, to place it where I wanted to display it, only to notice, on the bottom of the actual statue, that the price stated it was in fact £39.99 and not the £49.99, that I was charged, an absolute joke, considering that the statue has been in this shops window display too. I’ve attached photos of my receipt and the bottom of my Basset Hound as proof. If anyone is visiting this shop, it has so many, lovely quirky items but please double check the price, especially if it is sold from their window display, or just avoid going in, in the first place. I will be contacting my bank, to recover my overpayment. £10, might seem like small change to this company but if they are doing to a number of customers, they’re making a nice little profit.
I saw a lovely little dog door stop in the window of this shop but due to mobility issues I was having difficulty actually going inside so I was so v pleased when Eve (Harrison) saw my difficulties and served me from the doorway bless her she went above and beyond such a sweet young lady thank you 😊
Interesting shop, good service and reasonable prices for quality goods
You walk past this shop and with it's beautiful array of products in the window are immediately drawn in. Yes, it does have some lovely stuff but that's where it ends! The service, behaviour and attitude is far from lovely, they are quite simply 'scam artists'. Wanting to look at an ornament on the bottom shelf, my mum bent down to pick it up only to have it fall straight out of the box and SMASH, a part of the ornament broke off. Being honest people we took it straight over to the counter to explain what happened. Upon closer inspection we saw that the two rubber bands holding the ornament in place had well and truly deteriorated. The ornament in an open front box with nothing to hold it in had only one place to go when moved...onto the floor! And with the way it broke, very cleanly, it made us think that this was not its first break so what better way to make sure they got their money from it it than to put it in a box with nothing to hold it in. My poor mum had to part with £20 for a now broken ornament and one that had it not fallen out of the box she wouldn't have bought anyway. It was a 'tacky', poor quality item. The woman behind the counter wouldn't give any discount even though I argued about the rubber bands. She couldn't care less that she was robbing my mum blind, probably even felt proud of herself for her trick. The customer service, or lack of, is appalling, they should be shut down. Unfortunately this review probably won't be seen by anyone before going into the shop, it will be afterwards, like we found the other bad reviews after our bad experience. But if you are reading this all I can say is AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! Esho Funi = It's so funny - Hopefully they will go out of business and we'll have the last laugh!
