This has to be the best bean-to-bar chocolate shop in the country. The selection is unlike anything else I've seen. Just when I thought there was a brand missing I'd be quickly pointed to where it was. Obviously Whitby is a wonderful town, but if you're into liquorice and/or bean-to-bar chocolate it would be worth the journey from any corner of the British isles just for this shop. There's also a really nice selection of gift items (including alcohol) and ice cream and hot drinks.

Lovely selection of gifts but we went for the confectionary. The violet and coconut Turkish delight is amazing. We also tried a range of liquorice such as raspberry and lemon and salmiak which was really unusual but delicious. Staff couldn't be friendlier, offering advice of different things to try and samples. You can get a hot chocolate there too. I have bought gifts and some things to take home and will definitely be back next time we come.

The best selection of liquorice I've ever seen. Spoilt for choice every time I go in the shop. I've now discovered the Violet & coconut Turkish Delight which is amazing. The staff are all lovely and so helpful. My new favourite shop

Ordered some liquorice for Mums birthday. Fantastic selection of delights at reasonable prices. Website is well laid out and easy to use. Delivered quickly and really well packaged. Highly recommend them. Looking forward to visiting in person

Excellent service from Emma at The Pot and Pineapple. More than happy to recommend. I saw a bag on Instagram that wasn't on the website. Made contact with the shop and asked if they had any in stock as the bag looked really unusual. Emma replied saying she'd be happy to post me one out. I actually did a bank transfer for the purchase as it wasn't set up online for that particular bag but felt comfortable with that. Arrived quickly and beautifully packaged with the added extra of a stick of Whitby rock. Over the moon with my bag and the service provided. Thank you Emma.
