⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful craftsmanship & great service** Visited Ebor Jet Works in Whitby and bought a set of Whitby jet dress studs in silver — the quality and finish are absolutely superb. I went back the next day to buy a bracelet for my wife because I was so impressed. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff and stunning pieces — a genuine pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic Whitby jet jewellery.

If we hadn't been sitting next to Sarah and David at the Magpie Cafe, we may never have stumbled on The Ebor Jetworks. We had just arrived in Whitby and I mentioned to my partner that we should really look into buying some Whitby Jet. He asked me what Whitby Jet was, and Sarah (very politely) took the opportunity to tell us a little about the history of the material. Sarah's knowledge of Jet was impressive and we were encouraged to visit their workshop the following day. As it happens, Sarah is something of a leading authority on Jet. In fact, she is completing her PhD in this area. More than this, she has several decades of experience in crafting Jet, and I don't believe there is anyone in the world who better understands the material. The working of Whitby Jet is a passion shared by both Sarah and David. When we visited their workshop, they were happy to tell us about the geological and cultural significance of the material. The workshop itself is nothing short of beautiful, evoking a real sense of magic both inside and out. Sarah and David offer a variety of jewellery items in sterling silver and 9 ct gold, all of which feature Jet, sometimes mixed with other stones such as amber, turquoise or fossil inlays. We were looking for personal items and unique christmas gifts for our families, and picked out a gorgeous set of earrings with a celtic design and an elegant silver pendant. I myself bought a silver signet ring, and was able to select a piece of jet myself, which David crafted for me to preserve some of the wood texture of the jet stone. I look forward to returning to The Ebor Jetworks on my next visit to Whitby, and wish Sarah good luck in completing her PhD.

Walked past this shop while on holiday, instantly turned around to go in. The shop itself is beautiful! Once in there could see all the amazing jewellery. I was super lucky as there was a ring I fell in love with within seconds of being in there. And it fit me! You can literally watch the jewellery being made. Had a great conversation with the owner about Whitby jet, and his wife's journey within this field. Would highly recommend a visit to this shop when in Whitby!

I came in today with my husband. Been coming to Whitby for years but have never found a jet piece that I know I will truly wear and enjoy. I found this amazing modern ring and am so pleased with it. A gorgeous little shop with lovely owners. Thank you

Good prices, nice down to earth staff. They made an effort to get what my girl wanted in the size she wanted and were funny and chatty to boot. Not a fancy jewelry store, but I’m buying jet not diamonds so how fancy should it be?
