The Full English Guest House

We stayed for a few nights and had a great time. The location was good for what we were doing. Jack and Melanie were very friendly and welcoming hosts. The building is listed so, like many of the B&Bs in Whitby, there are restrictions on what they can change. The rooms aren't huge, but that wasn't a problem for us. Everything that we needed was provided in the room and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere in the dining room each morning was warm and chatty, helped along by the attitude of our hosts. Everything was lovely and I would happily stay there again.

Wow .. what can I say from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, Melanie and Jack were very kind, friendly and extremely attentive . Room 4 was small but quaint. They have thought of everything from a generous tea tray with cookies and coffee pouches along with fresh milk, to the lovely shampoo and soap. Everything taken care of . Room was super clean and fresh. The full English Breakfast was simply delicious. All locally sourced. It really was top notch. Lots of options to choose from and a continental variety to start with. Thank you so much for your recommendations and hospitality, we will definitely come back if we are in the area.

Great 2 night stay. The property was spotless and the rooms very comfortable. Jack and Melanie are lovely fantastic hosts. Very welcoming and chatty. They prepared an excellent breakfast for us. Street Parking is available with a permit that you get from the B&B upon check-in. The location is fantastic with shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance.

This is a Victorian Guesthouse close to the ramp down to West Beach in one direction and approximately 300m down to the railway/bus stations and the town centre in the other. This is a lovely decorated establishment that's spotlessly clean. The double room we stayed in, although fairly small, had its own en-suite shower and toilet. Fresh linen was provided on request daily. A wall-mounted flatscreen tv, tea and coffee making facilities and a small mini-fridge provided all the necessary needs for our stay. Melanie and Jack are the perfect hosts, paying great attention to detail and ensuring everything goes smoothly, catering for everybody's differing requirements. The breakfasts are varied and more than adequate. The namesake "Full English" option is perfectly prepared by Jack and presented by Melanie. They are very informative to all things going on in Whitby and its surroundings. Parking can be a little problematic, but once a space is found, it's advisable to leave your vehicle there. There are a number of shops close by, including a lovely pub, cafe bars and a superb bakery that has the longest queues, such is the quality. If we visit Whitby again, we'll have no problem with booking this B&B. Great value. Fully recommended. Excellent !!

This is the second time that I have stayed at The Full English. Yet again Jack and Melanie were excellent hosts. It was spotlessly clean everywhere and a lovely breakfast all served with a smile. I/we will definitely be returning. Thank you.
