Awd Tuts Cottage

Description

Awd Tuts Cottage is a 4-storey, ex-fisherman's cottage with low ceilings and wooden beams. The cottage which dates back to the 1700s, sleeps 4 people comfortably. The cottage is ideally situated, being located in the direct centre of the old quarter of Whitby town.

The old quarter of Whitby is on the east side of the River Esk and contains many points of local interest including the abbey, the 199 steps, the jet works, the old Kipper Smoking Sheds, the market square and numerous quaint shops, restaurants and tea rooms. This area is steeped with local history and most of the buildings here date back to the 17th and 18thC.
