East Cliff Cottages

East Cliff Cottages are situated below the East Cliff in the old quarter of town; between the Abbey Steps and the sea in a narrow cobbled street leading from the Market Square to the East Pier. The old fisherman’s cottages have been modernised but still retain lots of character and individual charm. They are completely self-contained, with bathrooms, shower rooms, fridges/freezers, ovens, microwaves, toasters, Smart TV’s, DVD players and Wi-fi.

The cottages have the most incredible, uninterrupted views of the harbour and sea. The balconies and terraces with garden furniture have steps which lead down to the private gate and sandy beach below.  There is parking for one car in the free carpark – very rare in this part of Whitby.

Shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants are just down the street past the Abbey Steps. Over the harbour bridge, a short walk away are the larger shops, entertainments, fish quay, railway and bus stations.
