Excellent location. Quiet neighbourhood. Very warm welcome from friendly and helpful hosts. Clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Excellent facilities. Lovely home cooked breakfast. Free street parking. Highly recommended.

My friends and I stayed in Argyle Guest House for the weekend to explore Whitby and we all had such a wonderful stay. The rooms were just incredible and each had their own special personal touches and themes. The attention to detail made the stay feel super luxurious down to the incredible furniture to the super cosy comfy beds. To make things even better the breakfast was super tasty. We all opted for a full English breakfast and the service was prompt and friendly. Everything on the plate was clearly locally sourced and the whole breakky was simply delicious! The owner of the hotel, Bill, popped out to offer us more and make sure we were all happy with our stays. Overall we all had a fabulous stay and will definitely be staying here again. I'd 100% recommend Argyle Guest House to anyone who wants to explore the city or even if you just want to stay in a really cool unique place.

Fantastic guest house. Staff are lovely, excellent service. Rooms are very clean. Everything provided for. Breakfast is outstanding. Bill is also lovely, makes an effort in getting to know his guests. Would definitely stay here again

Argyle House is in a fabulous location just up from The Royal Crescent and an easy walk in 2 directions to Whitby Harbour. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was number 8 in the attic and was absolutely lovely with tea and coffee making facilities, free Netflix and really made us feel calm and welcome. Nice touches like umbrellas by the front door to borrow and amazing customer service just show how much they care about their guests. Breakfast was absolutely lovely and of a very high standard with a really nice vibe in the restaurant. Bill, Jo and Sarah went out of their way to make to our stay as fabulous as it was, we would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here last week. Owner is super friendly and his breakfast is amazing. All locally sourced food. Room was clean and perfect for a couple of nights. Parking is all on the street with permits provided. Just a warning that spaces are very limited. It was half term so very busy and once we were lucky enough to find a space nearby, we didn't dare move the car again. Thankfully this place is perfectly placed walking distance to everything you need in the main part of the town.
